With the Garmin GLO, you get the best of two worlds by combining GPS / GLONASS receiver and Bluetooth ® technology where you receive a highly accurate positioning information into your PC or Android device that supports NMEA.

The Garmin GLO receives position information from both GPS and GLONASS satellites simultaneously, which allows it to connect with up to 24 more satellites than devices that only communicate with the GPS-system. It allows the GLO to find satellites about 20% faster and stays connected even at high speeds and hilly terrain. Additionally the GLO update their positioning information 10x per second which is up to 10x more often than integrated GPS receivers in many mobile devices. Garmin GLO also receives free correction from SBAS (EGNOS).

When you use Bluetooth wireless technology is paired GLO wirelessly connected to your PC, Android or mobile device to get the position data. The unit has up to 12 hours of battery life so that it maintains your position even during long work days or travel, and is easy to recharge between uses with the included USB cable or any 12/24V car adapter.
